# A Private Blockchain

HushChain will be a decentralised network of devices that will utilise privacy technologies to enable a truly anonymous blockchain, functioning identical to that of its EVM counter parts to enable smart contracts and DeFi in privacy rich environment. Imagine monero with smart contracts.

HUSHchain combines the best features of decentralized, open-source networks and blockchains with the benefits of data privacy without sacrificing usability. These improvements are critical for achieving mass adoption.

Decentralised applications have been one of crypto's greatest innovations, but they are forced to be transparent (the smart contract), and the data being processed is public. In the Web2 world, where there was immense fear of companies taking advantage of your data (with data leaks being feared the greatest), we are now pushed into the open to achieve greater transparency yet dissuading innovation that requires the handling of personal data.

HUSHchain will offer the anonymity of monero, but enabling smart contracts to allow for private decentralised applications.
